The firm was established to deliver practical, reliable results to private sector and nonprofit organizations, as well as all levels of government and educational institutions.

Michael Trone is the Founder of Landon Matthew Consulting, established in 2020 to deliver practical, reliable results to private sector and nonprofit organizations, as well as all levels of government and educational institutions. The firm provides IT solutions, technical consulting, government contract procurement, RFP and contract development, grant development and administration, and business and strategic planning. We align strategy with execution to deliver results that are on time, within scope, and within budget.
Michael is a United States Navy veteran with a background in information technology. He advises teams on initiatives ranging from small-scale efforts to large, multi-stakeholder projects. His work focuses on improving how teams operate, with an emphasis on performance, efficiency, and execution. He has advised mid-level managers through executive leadership, driving alignment and decision-making across teams.
He translates technical issues into clear, actionable information and analyzes client needs to inform implementation. Under his leadership, Landon Matthew Consulting delivers consistent, high-quality results across engagements. The firm operates efficiently, applies the appropriate level of expertise to each engagement, and builds strong, effective partnerships with agencies and subcontractors to sustain performance. Michael’s approach is grounded in execution, practical application, and delivering results on time, within scope, and within budget.
Kristal Thompson is a Senior Strategist with Landon Matthew Consulting and a public sector and nonprofit professional with experience in grants management and administration, program and project management, compliance, evaluation, and strategic planning. Her work spans federal, state, and nonprofit environments, with a focus on aligning requirements with implementation and ensuring programs operate as intended. She has worked within PMO environments supporting large-scale, multi-agency initiatives and coordinating project activities across teams, timelines, and deliverables.
She has managed large, complex funding portfolios and executed program activities including budget development, monitoring, reporting, and technical assistance. Her experience includes training and capacity building, performance and quality improvement, and the application of evidence-based practices, including PDCA and Six Sigma methodologies. She has also worked in Agile environments, applying Scrum-based approaches to support iterative work, coordination, and continuous improvement. Her work includes research, data analysis, and health communications to support informed decision-making and program effectiveness.
Kristal delivers work that is on time and within budget while maintaining alignment between program strategy and day-to-day operations. She has experience working with community-based organizations and cross-sector partners, including coalition building and culturally competent engagement. Her approach is grounded in execution, accountability, and consistent delivery across the full program lifecycle.
